More Thanks From Squadron 283’s Adopted Platoon in Afghanistan!

by Squadron 283 Editor on August 24, 2013

In June, as we’ve mentioned before, Neal Conners and Nicky Casalenuovo sent care packages containing baseballs and mitts to our AdoptaPlatoon unit serving in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan:

Baseball Mitts 2

On August 19th, we received another thank you letter:

Hey Neal,

So we just received another batch of boxes from you guys. I want you guys to know how truly appreciative we are out here. The games have definitely helped us fight the boredom and we’re just about there on baseball mitts. The snacks have been spot on and are a welcome break from the MRE’s we have to eat on a daily basis. I also wanted to take the opportunity to personally thank your mother Cathy.

On behalf of myself and the entirety of the ◊◊◊◊◊◊ I want to thank you for all you and your son have done for us. The cards and letters of kind words inspire us to continue to do our best and represent all of you back home with pride. Every card and letter are hanging on our wall to remind us that there are people back home who are counting on us to continue the good fight. Again thank you.

And to: Rich and Deann Wilken, Nicky, Brian, Carl and all the rest. Thank YOU!!

Very Respectfully,
1st Lt. ◊◊◊◊◊◊ ◊◊◊◊◊◊
