I just visited, the World War II plaque at Santa Monica high school, on July 10. That would’ve been, my father Warren Sturgeon’s One hundredth birthday. I went to see the plaque, because my uncle Jesse E Sturgeon, Was killed in the Philippines and was and is a MIA to this day. I would like to thank you for what you did to the plaque that is the first time I’ve seen the plaque in my lifetime, I’m 61 years old, A true American, and I would like to tell you that is the only place on US soil my uncle is remembered by. I have two older brothers, my middle one is named Jess, after my uncle and he was at the original ceremony unveiling this plaque. And we have photos of that day, if you would like me to make prints of them, I will get a hold of my brother and see if you’ll do that for us .
