Squadron 283 helped to sponsor the annual family event for the 3rd Assault Amphibious Battalion held at the beach of Camp Pendleton. Members from the Hollywood, San Bernadino, Newport Beach, Ontario, Fontana and Pacific Palisades Squadrons also staffed a booth to help feed the Marines and family members while entertainment, contests and games were run by local Camp Pendleton staffers. The Sons’ booth fed hundreds with their fresh yellowtail tacos, grilling large yellowtail procured by the Newport Beach Squadron.
